Top secret // declassified for public review

File RT-A · Public

What this is

The Red Thread is a case board of the biggest conspiracy theories, sorted by what the public record actually supports. Some stories that sounded impossible were later confirmed by documents and court rulings. Others are still unresolved. Some collapse under evidence. Each file shows which is which, and why.

How files are labeled

Confirmed: documented in official records, declassified files or court rulings.
Contested: unresolved, or only partly supported by the record.
Debunked: refuted by evidence.

A label applies to a specific claim, not to a whole subject. Many files are mixed: a real program can be confirmed while the wildest stories around it are unproven. Every file separates what the record shows from what is claimed but not shown.

Sources and care

We rely on primary sources where possible: government reports, declassified documents, court decisions and official statements. Each file lists them. We word statements carefully and avoid accusing named people of things the record does not establish.

Who is behind this site

The Red Thread is run by Dario Seretin, an independent publisher (see the Ko-fi page). It is a personal project, not a company, and it has no connection to any government agency, political group or media organization.

How a case file is made

  1. A topic is chosen because it is widely discussed and can be checked against public records.
  2. Sources are gathered first: official reports, declassified documents, court decisions, archives and reputable reference works. Each file names the sources it relies on.
  3. The file is drafted with the help of AI tools, working from those sources. We do not claim that every text has been reviewed by a human expert, which is why every file lists its sources so that you can check it yourself.
  4. Automated checks make sure that each file has the required sections, a status label, sources and links to related files before it is published.
  5. The file gets one of three labels (confirmed, contested or debunked) for its central claim. The text then says what the record does not show.

What we do not do

We do not claim secret knowledge, we do not sell products, and we avoid accusing named people of crimes that the record does not establish. Being named in a document is not evidence of wrongdoing. Files about health or safety give general information only, and nothing here is legal or medical advice.

Corrections

If you find a mistake or have a better source, tell us with the file name and a link to a primary source. Verified corrections are made as soon as we can check them, and the file is updated. Substantial corrections are noted on the page.

Advertising and funding

The project is funded by advertising (Google AdSense) and voluntary donations on Ko-fi. Advertisers and donors do not influence what is published or how a file is labeled. Details about cookies and advertising are in the privacy policy.
